CHRISTMAS AT SPITALFIELDS
Promotional material to encourage shoppers to visit Spitalfields Market over the Christmas season. I designed this campaign during an internship at Imagist design studio, London.
The design was based on historical research of the market and the surrounding area. A stripped back and utilitarian look was adopted to reflect the markets' working class origins and to distinguish the campaign from other more commercial christmas time campaigns.
Particular attention was paid to the choice of typefaces used – Clarendon and Monotype Grotesque both being associated with the late 19th century trading vernacular of London.
