TICK FOLLOW TOCK
The culmination of a visual research MA project into mapping intangible elements in a graphic form. The book works as a multilayered map of a piece of film using a variety of systems and graphic devices to deconstruct a number of elements – time, sound and space. These systems run parallel with each turn of the page. And just as the medium of film is a linear, time-based process, the act of flicking through the pages mimics this process but through the medium of print.
The book begins with an introduction and explanation on how the systems work. The inside flap carries a meter so that the reader can reference the decibel level of each edit/page.
