GREYMATTER
First issue of what, hopefully, will become a quarterly fanzine. Consideration is given to the expense of production to keep costs low – hence printing only in black and on cheap cartridge paper. A basic page structure and baseline grid is used but with enough flexibility to allow for diverse layouts which compliment the content. Each spread is considered broadly in isolation from the overall publication with typeface choices and orientation that is determined by the content. Giving each spread its own voice whilst remaining a cohesively designed publication was the main priority in designing the fanzine.
