RAFA ANDREU FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
Identity design for a fashion photographer based in Barcelona. Seeing as the client works alone I decided against creating a corporate logo in favour of a more personal monogram. The idea was simply to contain the overlapping initials in a circle which represents a camera lens. The client is greatly influenced by Baroque and Rococo art and expressed a wish to convey that in the identity. In order to avoid visual clichés I focussed on colour rather than form to articulate this influence. After much visual research I decided on using an antique gold and pale blue colour scheme to evoke the design and art of those periods. The type has subtle modifications to enhance its relationship to the monogram.
